Menu Bar and Dashboard

The dashboard and menu bar have changed in the new version of Cascade.

Menu Bar

  • Cascade logo. — Takes you to site dashboard
  • Drop-down site selector
    • displays the sites you have access to
  • Add Content menu
    • is the replacement for the New menu
    • displays the assets you can add to your page
    • second level page types, folder, external link, file or image…
  • Site content menu
    • displays the folders, pages and files of the current website
    • brings you to the sites homepage
  • Manage Site menu
    • was the Administration button
    • you do not have to change or edit anything in here
  • My Content menu
    • displays all of your content
    • worted by time of last visit
  • Search Bar
  • User Profile (blue circle with first letter of your last name
    • contains Settings (previously My Settings)
    • sign out button

Dashboard

In the upper left of your dashboard displays your home widget.

It contains

  • a blue circle with the first letter of your last name
  • your name
  • the date
  • the pink number in the date shows how many messages you have (hopefully none!)
  • the Add Widget button
    • this brings up a page of available widgets
    • the My Sites widget is a quick link to your websites
    • the New Content widget contains some of the items that were under the New menu (second level page)
    • drag around the widgets to place them on your dashboard
  • Reset Dashboard
    • this will remove any changes you made to the dashboard
    • it will go back to the system default
